GT Fitness November Newsletter

The inaugural Wodmania saw no less than 8 teams from our community taking part, along with coach Tammy Berrisford who teamed up with Steph Chambers from CrossFit Leanne, to give us 8.5 teams representing. This no-barbell competition managed to challenge all, whilst giving newcomers an accessible taste of competition. All our members held their own and were grateful for the volume of support they received.

St Neots Half Marathon

Having been bitten by the running bug, Nick Chandler has progressed from the Ragnar Relay not too long ago, to taking on a Half Marathon solo. He crushed his previous time to cross the line faster than expected, and with a new found love for running.

We have just finished putting a big group through the last ever foundations course. They’ll be popping up on your classes soon, and we hope you’ll make them feel as welcome as you always do. From now on, Foundations will take on an entirely new model in order to prepare those joining our CrossFit programme to a higher standard, so that there is less of a gap between our current members, and our new customers. This new model will be available to book one to one from January, and will be spread across six sessions. Further details will follow.

Christmas WOD and Party

Our annual celebration is available to book now on Teamup.

Please register for both parts separately. The workout will be fancy dress and will be in teams. The party will begin in the box, and will this year feature an awards ceremony. Please head over to the GTF Community group now to vote for the GTF Community Spirit award. Further awards to be announced!

Continued Improvements

This month has seen our very own Paul Seddon help us install a new, more accessible storage system in the corner of the box. This is part of a series of planned improvements, which we hope you’ll find beneficial. We’ve also adjusted the rig to make it more user friendly, and provide a bar for taller members.

Bespoke Training Options

For various people, a one to one training option is preferred, either as an approach in its own right, or to compliment group training or as a strength and conditioning element to the sports training they get elsewhere. Regardless of your circumstances, or goals, we can pair you with a trainer who is best placed to help you realise and work towards your goals, as broad or as specific as they might be. for more information visit the GT Fitness Personal Training Page.

If any of our personal training options are of interest to you, please call 07502006455 or email to arrange a free consultation, where we can discuss your goals, and arrange for a suitable trainer for you to work with.

Marketing Preferences

We’d like to remind you that we can’t send you this, or many other emails directly if you have opted out of marketing material on Teamup. Whilst we do respect everyone’s right to choose, this limits our ability to communicate developments to you, and also to gauge opinion effectively. If you’d like more information on the types of emails you will receive, please ask one of our staff. Rest assured, we keep email traffic to a minimum, and will not spam you!

*Note: Automated emails from the booking system such as receipts, changes to the schedule, account information and payment information updates are not marketing and will continue to be received.

Events Calendar

In addition to the calendar and photo board in the box, which you’re free to update with any competitions you’re taking part in, we have a page on the website to promote upcoming events. Please email us, or send us a message on Facebook with details of any events you’re in, so we can update the page. If you save this page to your phone home screen, or set it as a favourite in your browser, you’ll never miss a competition, Outside the Box event, or box party again!
